CAMP STAFF / PHILOSOPHY
Coach Town is entering his 22nd year as the head baseball coach at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges
(CMS). During this time his Stags have won two league championships and made three post season appearances in the highly competitive SCIAC. Town has coached
seven All-Americans and has had two players ink professional contracts. Coach Town was recognized as the Division III West Region Coach of the Year in 1996. He is a former national chair for NCAA Division III Baseball and a former chair of the West Region.
Town was a professional pitcher (1978–1981) and coach (1984, 1985) with the Cincinnati Reds organization. He also served as head coach of four teams playing at the international level
and was an assistant in Italy this past summer. He was an
assistant for California State University at Stanislaus
prior to joining CMS. CMS assistant coaches and players will be on the
clinic staff as well as outstanding high school coaches from the area.
The clinic philosophy will be to teach proper techniques and to work with each individual in improving baseball skills.

ALL SKILLS CAMP
This week-long day camp will focus on improving hitting, fielding, throwing, catching, and all offensive and defensive skills. In addition, games will be played to assist/promote the instructional process.A total skill evaluation form will be provided each player at the end of the week as will camp certificates and various camper awards. Special PITCH-HIT-RUN contestswill also be featured.

This specialized/individualized clinic focuses entirely on hitting technique and execution. A special coach works with each individual from bat selection and grip through stance, stride, swing execution, and follow through. Hitting tees, live pitching, soft toss, pitching machines, and varied drills work on
hitting, hitting, and only
hitting! All participants will be evaluated on videotape and receive a personalized CD (NEW!).

PITCHING CLINIC
This specialized/individualized clinic focuses entirely on pitching fundamentals. A special coach works with each individual from grips through proper five-stage pitching fundamentals. Basic mechanics of the windup, stretch, and pick-off moves will be covered on
pitching, pitching, and only
pitching! All participants will be evaluated on videotape and receive a personalized CD (NEW!).
